- Modifying the microorganisms cell membrane to produce a reactive absorbant for hydrophobic materials (hydrocarbons)
- Developing nanozymes for conversion of hydrocarbons to higher value materials
- Application of green solvents to recover resources (polymers, metals) from the solid wastes
- Catalytic conversion of CO2
- Bioelectrosynthesis conversion of wastes to more added value materials
